Ashley Flaner

Ashley Flaner studied at the Contra Costa Ballet School in Walnut Creek and went on to earn her BA in Dance at UC Irvine. While at UCI, she performed leading roles in William Forsythe’s Artifact II and Steptext, as well as Donald McKayle’s Ash. Ashley danced with Company C Contemporary Ballet from 2002-2005, where she danced principal roles in ballets by Alexander Proia, Patrick Corbin and Charles Anderson. An inaugural member of Post:Ballet, She has danced in Dekkers’ Ours, Milieu, Interference Pattern, I need to be touched, Happiness of Pursuit, Me No You, Colouring, Mine is Yours, Flutter, Do Be, ourevolution, and field the present shifts, for which she was nominated for an Isadora Duncan Award for “Outstanding Achievement in Performance- Ensemble.” Ashley is also a Pilates instructor currently based in Charleston, SC.
