Kar Williams

Born in Miami, Florida, Kar Will. received his BFA in Dance from the prestigious Juilliard School under the directorship of Lawrence Rhodes. His selective training extends through Dance Theater of Harlem, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet, and American Ballet Theater. As a freelance performing artist and former Soloist Dancer with internationally renowned Les Grands Ballets Canadiens De Montreal, Kar has had the pleasure of working first hand with and performed works by legends in dance, including William Forsythe, Ohad Naharin, Jiri Kylian, Alonzo King, and Mak Ek along with contemporaries Stijin Celis, Jean-C.Maillot, Mauro Bigonzetti, Stephan Thoss, and Marco Goecke. Kar’s choreography “EvoL” has also been performed internationally by members of Les Grands Ballets de Canadien. Along with being a performing artist, Kar is master teacher at Diva Arts Dance Studio (Miami FL.), Dance Theater of Harlem, and Harlem School of the Arts in New York City. Kar is also a leading actor in the Golden Globe nominated STARZ network original drama ‘Flesh & Bone.’ This is Kar’s first season with Post:Ballet.
